Insidious: The Red Door concludes the popular Insidious franchise, focusing on Josh and Dalton Lambert as they confront their past traumas and erased memories. While the film provides some decent scares and a coherent storyline, it falls short in execution and fails to fully develop its characters. Directed by Patrick Wilson in his feature directorial debut, the movie suffers from a lackluster script that limits its potential. Although it manages to deliver effective horror moments, the overall impact remains mild, offering nothing groundbreaking. The performances, especially by Simpkins and Wilson, are solid but lack depth. While serving as an acceptable ending to the franchise, Insidious: The Red Door ultimately fails to reach its full potential. Visit afdah movie for more!
